private forums with the ability to define access list of people and/or groups that have access to them

This is planned for when joomla 1.6 appears, as it will have custom groups management nativelly, so we avoid having 2 different groups management system. Meanwhile you can use your joomla ranks to have private forum for them.

In Joomla! 1.6 the new user access system is wonderful... but are we still going to be able to have management level icons, etc., for the forums themselves, more like attaching an image to a custom access level than actually having a separate system for them?

...it's indispensable to have groups and forums permissions assignement. -
