to be integrated with Joom Suite
I'd really like to be able to make use of Joom Suite User but since Kunena/Fireboard isn't integraded I find myself being force to use CB.

We would love to integrate with as many active community extensions as possible, but this is 2 sides work, if they don’t contact us, not much we can’t work to integrate with them. CB and JS have stated what they needed from us from day 1

Forums inside JomSocial Groups
Allowing each group in JomSocial the option to have a forum would be awesome! Here are a few ideas:
Options:
1. Group forum created by default when group is created
2. Group administrator can create a group forum (optional check box)Depending on parameters set by website administrator:
1. The group forum only displays within the group.
2. Displays in group and in public forum categories.
3. Another option is to allow group admin to select which public forum his group should be under or a default forum category can be set by website admin.

Mail-to-Forum ability
I am hoping for the ability for users to reply to a discussion thread directly from their email. Whenever a new thread is created in particular category (refer to metaltome's first idea), email will be sent to the subscribers and they can reply to that discussion directly using email.
This function is similar to phpbb2's mail2forum mod.
I need this because most of my users are elderly and they are accustomed to using Yahoo! & Google mailing list.
The website that i am working on (my school's alumni site) is meant to divert them into using forum instead of mailing… more

This is planned for when joomla 1.6 appears, as it will have custom groups management nativelly, so we avoid having 2 different groups management system. Meanwhile you can use your joomla ranks to have private forum for them.

Kunena as the comment solution for articles in Joomla
I really like to use a/the forum component to handle all the comments on my site. In this way we get more traffic on the site, and you don't need to install a comment component at all. A stand alone comment component doesn't give the article or content a communication about the article, but more "static" comments to the article. If the comment is handled whit a forum apps, we can get a discussion about the article where the user of the site and the creator of the article can discuss it. Selective quote button
Hi,
Very often the problem is that in a comment when using „quote button” all the history gets quoted, and this takes up a load of space.
Would it be possible to create a function with a plus answer button that only the comment of that person would be quoted to whom we are answering?With "Invision Power Services forum" engines there is such a function, which is very useful.

Administration In Front-end
When a forum admin or a moderator is working on the front-end of his/her site should be able to add new categories and forums and assign moderators in the front-end.

change state of a topic
A option to display options before the titel of a topic would be great way to show some information in what for state the current topic is.
For example you can select [Question/Solved/Problemm/Tip/Done]
For example you chose Question than a titel of a topic would look like:[Question] - topic title
And when the question is answered a moderator can change [Question ] into [Solved]

New Topic notification emails
It would be very useful if users could set an option to receive an automatic email notification each time a new topic is started - globally throughout all the forums or selectively. The email header/footer should be configurable and should include the contents of the first post in the new topic.
Also, some of our users do not like using forums and prefer to receive all their emails normally and read them in Outlook or whatever. The ability for users to select this option (again, globally for all the forums, or selectively for some forums) would be extremely useful.

Soundcloud Embed
I noticed there's so much support for embedding various video extensions.
Now I've searched the forum high and low and maybe I am missing completely obvious things but is there any way to embed the Soundcloud widget into Kuena?115 votes -
mobile template that supports iPhone
It would be nice to have an alternative template for Kunena so when a user on a mobile device (e.g. iPhone or Blackberry) visits, he/she gets redirected to this more mobile-friendly version of the site. It would be formatted for viewing on this type of device and also would allow for basic forum functionality like replying and starting a new topic

Brint the threaded view back. If you have long threads, in the flat view you don't know which answer is of whick post...

Threaded view was removed to be completely rewritten, in current state was unusable in big forums. Will eventually come back when it can be done well.

Integrated with EventList and JEvent
Integrate with event list of Jevents so that event discussions show on event pages and event details and calenders show on form discussions making the website well integrated.

BBeditor is currently undergoing a huge revamp ;) sub and sup are already integrated as a hack in kunena, byt the same dev that is doing the revamp ;)
